About Us

So you want to learn coding? We get it. There's a lot of noise out there—bootcamps promising the moon, tutorials that make your brain hurt, instructors who code like robots talk. We're different. Summit Learn exists because we got tired of watching smart people struggle through terrible teaching. We started this place 8 years ago to prove that learning to code doesn't require you to become a coffee-addicted hermit. Our 127 graduates are now building real things at real companies. Not because we're magic. But because we actually care whether you understand what's happening or just memorize syntax.

Over time, we’ve built a reputation for reliability, quality, and clear communication. We treat each project as a partnership and aim for outcomes that last.

Our Approach

Our approach combines proven methods with modern tools. We start with discovery, align on goals, plan clearly, and execute with quality checks at every step.

Our Story

Started in 2016 when two of us got frustrated watching brilliant people fail at terrible bootcamps. We quit our jobs, rented a tiny office space in Ostrava, and started teaching from what we actually knew worked. First cohort? Seven people. Second cohort? Twelve. We've grown slowly—deliberately, not frantically. Moved to this bigger space in 2019. Hired our first instructor in 2020. Today we're running 4 cohorts a year with a waitlist that honestly surprises us. The weird part? We haven't changed our core approach much. Small classes. Real projects. Instructors who still code.

Our Story

Our Mission

Teach people how to code by making it stick. Not just memorization—we want you thinking like a programmer when you leave. We're here to cut through the BS and deliver education that works. Period.

Our Vision

A world where coding skills aren't gatekept behind gatekeepers. Where someone from any background can learn, build, and launch their own thing. We're building that future one bootcamp cohort at a time.

Our Core Values

The principles that guide everything we do

Actually Know Your Stuff

Our instructors code. Daily. We don't hire people based on certifications—we hire them because they build things. If you're learning from someone, they should be someone worth learning from.

Slow Down to Speed Up

Rushing through concepts to hit some arbitrary deadline is stupid. We'd rather you truly understand fewer topics than skim through everything. Real learning sticks. Everything else is just expensive Google searching.

Show Your Work

You can't learn coding from lectures alone. You build. You break things. You fix them. You show us what you've done and explain why you did it that way. That's how growth happens.

Be Honest About What You Don't Know

Tech changes constantly. We don't pretend we know everything. When we hit something new, we figure it out together. Students learn that curiosity matters more than certainty.

Marek Svoboda

Marek Svoboda

Co-Founder & Lead Instructor

Built software at three startups before realizing teaching was more interesting. Specializes in JavaScript and not letting people take shortcuts. Still codes 20 hours a week because he gets bored otherwise. Coffee addict by choice, not necessity.

Petra Novotná

Petra Novotná

Co-Founder & Curriculum Designer

Spent 12 years building backend systems before switching to education. Obsessed with making hard concepts actually make sense. Writes our curriculum. Remembers exactly what confused her when learning to code, so she designs around that.

David Černý

David Černý

Instructor - Full Stack Development

Frontend and backend developer who somehow makes Python entertaining to learn. Writes terrible puns in his code comments. Graduated from one of our early cohorts, liked it so much he never left. Mentors students outside class constantly.
